The Western Mountaineering Highlite is a down sleeping bag with the principal aim of keeping you warm whilst keeping weight to a minimum.
Keeping you cosy and comfortable down to +2ºc, the Western Mountaineering Highlite bag weighs in at a mere 450g, making it an excellent choice for activities where weight saving and packability are key. To achieve this marvel of modern mountaineering kit WM have combined the finest quality (850+ fill power) European goose down with a 25g ExtremeLite™ outer shell fabric (which pound for pound is just about as durable a fabric as you can get for the weight), this is then finished off with a 1-way #4 1/2 YKK coil half length zipper. While the horizontal seams are sewn-thru, the vertical seams are baffled with 3.8cm netting to allow unimpeded loft, so the effect of its 850+ goose down is fully realised. Its efficient cut not only reduces bulk and weight, but reduces excess internal volume, allowing you to warm up faster! At only 450g total weight few bags are as light, as warm or as well made as the Western Mountaineering HighLite.
